Inspiration, education and meeting increased demand for wellness offerings are behind Polynesian Spa’s new reactive and engaging website.
Launched in July, the new website features an upgraded therapy booking system, informative blog page, and trade and media portal, and is part of a wider development programme to create the perfect sanctuary to stop, relax and reset.
Polynesian Spa chief executive Gert Taljaard says $2 million has been spent this year alone on upgrading facilities, including the website.
“Health and wellness aren’t just buzzwords thrown around, we believe they can be tools to living a well-balanced life. Upgrading our facilities, including our online presence and easy-to-use informative website, is about complementing an increased awareness of how important ‘me time’ is and making it more accessible.
“Using our new website, visitors can learn more about the mineral pools, book a therapy or check opening hours with ease no matter what device they’re on, with the new responsive user experience. Complementing that, our blog is about inspiring and educating guests before and after their visit, complete with health and wellness tips, as well as latest news and upcoming retreats.”
Mr Taljaard says developments alongside the new-look website include a new alkaline lakeside spa in the Adult Pools opening in September and refurbished modern changing rooms. Considerable investment has also been made to ensure compliance with the recent changes to health and safety legislation.
Other developments since 2014 include a new reflexology walk and cold plunge pool, upgraded Family Spa area, refurbished Aix massage rooms, a new mineral pool in the Deluxe Lake Spa area, as well as free wifi access and new digital sound system.
“The past five years has seen a great number of developments take place, all which assist us in offering a more enjoyable, relaxing experience. Our website is very much a part of that and we look forward continuing to offer quality products to all our visitors, local and those from overseas.”
