Polynesian Spa is the perfect place for many to unwind, relax and reset, welcoming visitors from all over the world to bathe in the spa’s geothermal mineral waters.

To get the best out of your hot pool experience, we recommend the following best practices for health and safety.

Bathe Smart:

1. We advise anyone with an underlying medical or health condition to consult their doctor before using our hot pools.

2. Prolonged immersion in the hotter pools may cause dehydration and fainting.

3. We recommend you not to stay in hotter water for more than fifteen minutes at a time.

4. Alternate to cooler pools and maintain a regular intake of fluids. Drinking fountains can be found around the pool areas.

5. All surfaces are slippery when wet. Please do not run and take care in wet areas.

6. When exiting the pools, please use the handrails provided.

7. No jumping or diving is allowed. Many of the pools are quite shallow to allow visitors to sit comfortably and enjoy their bathing experience.

8. Polynesian Spa is a non-smoking or vaping complex.

9. Alcohol and glassware are not permitted in pool areas. We do not recommend bathing after consuming alcohol.

10. Recognised swimwear must be worn at all times whilst bathing in the pools. Street clothing and underwear are not permitted.

11. Children under 12 years of age will not be admitted unless accompanied by an adult.

12. Children under eight years of age must be actively supervised at all times by a caregiver aged 16 or over. ‘Actively’ means you must be in the water with your child at all times and be able to provide immediate assistance.

13. All infants must wear bathing suits or disposable nappies. We recommend keeping them in lower temperature pools to ensure they do not overheat and to actively supervise them at all times.

14. Remember to protect yourself with sunscreen!

15. Mineral water will tarnish jewellery. Please remove all jewellery before entering the pools.

Whilst all care is taken by Polynesian Spa, the ultimate responsibility for the above safety concerns rests with our visitors.

If you require assistance, please do not hesitate to ask one of our staff or our lifeguards on patrol. They will be happy to assist you.
