Pavilion Pools is Polynesian Spa’s original bath house site and the most historic area of the complex. Reserved for guests aged 12 and over, this quiet lakeside bathing area combines Rotorua spa heritage with geothermal mineral bathing from both the Priest Spring and Rachel Spring. With no time limit, it is a place to settle in, soak at your own pace, and enjoy a calm adult-focused atmosphere. For a quieter visit, early mornings and evenings after 8pm are often the best times.

Hot Mineral Pools & Reflexology Walk

Eight hot mineral pools overlooking Lake Rotorua, including seven pools designed for seated immersion and one deeper pool for standing immersion and gentle movement:

Three Priest Spring acidic mineral pools (39-41°C / 102-106°F; 0.7m deep / 27.5 inches), designed for seated immersion and popular for soothing tired muscles and joints
Three cascading Rachel Spring alkaline mineral pools (38-40°C / 100-104°F; 0.7m deep / 27.5 inches), designed for seated immersion and known for their soft, silky feel on the skin
One elevated Rachel Spring alkaline pool with lake views (40°C / 104°F; 0.7m deep / 27.5 inches), designed for seated immersion and quiet relaxation
One deeper Rachel Spring alkaline pool (38°C / 100°F; 1.3m deep / 51 inches), designed for standing immersion, gentle movement, and stretching

Things to Know/What to Bring

Bring swimwear and a water bottle. Swimwear is available for hire or purchase.
Towels and lockers can be hired on-site.
Pavilion Pools are reserved for guests aged 12 and over.
Recommended soak duration: 90 minutes to 2 hours.
Please keep your head above the water in the deep pool. For safety and hygiene reasons, guests should avoid submerging their head, as mineral water may irritate the eyes, ears, or airways and increase the risk of slips or accidental water ingestion.
